We would like you to join us at the Flying Saucer on the Lake on Thursday, September 17 at 6:30 pm for the Brooklyn Beer Dinner. The event will feature a five course meal with all entrees being served with a Brooklyn beer selection.
The menu will include:
- Summer Garden Shooter: Grapefruit, chicken, ginger, parsley, tomato and served with Brooklyn Pilsner
- Fall Spinach Salad: Greens with spicy pumpkin seeds, brie, pumpkin croutons with a clove vinaigrette, served with Brooklyn Oktoberfest.
- Mesquite smoked Brooklyn Brown ribs: Brooklyn Brown BBQ and steak frites served with Brooklyn Brown Ale.
- Sugar shell smoked filet mignon with hatch chili smoked cheddar grits served with Brooklyn Quadraceratops or Brooklyn Quinceratops.
- Chocolate Mousse served with Brooklyn Black Ops (2013)

Fort Worth Oktoberfest 2015
Man-oh-man do we ever love Oktoberfest. Fort Worth fires off the first salvo with news of their festivities on Panther Island. It's closer than you think.
Oktoberfest Celebration Returns to Panther Island PavilionThe traditional German festival will take place at The Shack September 24-26FORT WORTH, TX—Dust off your lederhosen, the 2nd Annual Oktoberfest Fort Worth is coming back to Panther Island Pavilion! The three day festival, presented by Spaten, will stay true to the traditional, Munich-style Oktoberfest with authentic German food, music and entertainment. The festival will take place at The Shack at Panther Island Pavilion. It will feature both indoor and outdoor biergartens. Spaten Hall will serve authentic German beer, including Spaten Oktoberfest, and the outdoor biergaten will serve fall and Oktoberfest craft beers from around the country.
The festival will kick off Thursday with local leaders participating in the ceremonial tapping of the kegs. The celebration will continue Friday evening and all day Saturday.
Entertainment will include traditional German music from entertainers like Brave Combo, Alpenmusikanten, Walburg Boys, Third Generation, Alpine Village Band, Das Ist Lustig and more. Additional Oktoberfest activities will include a dachshund race, bier barrel rolling races, chicken dancing, stein hoisting competitions, dancers of all ages performing traditional Bavarian folk dances and more. Saturday morning will kick off with a 5K, 1-mile fun run and a 15-mile bike ride lead by Mayor Betsy Price which will end just in time for the opening of the festival.
Authentic German food will be available. The menu will include German favorites such as bratwursts, pretzels, crepes, strudel, schnitzel, roasted nuts and more.
Tickets are available online now for a discounted rate (www.oktoberfestfw.com ) and will also be sold on site during the festival. Online early bird ticket holders are guaranteed a free 2015 commemorative stein. A limited number of steins will be available for tickets purchased at the gate, while supplies last. Admission for children 12 and under is free with a paying adult.
Oktoberfest Fort Worth is presented by Spaten and generously sponsored by Audi Fort Worth, NBC 5 DFW and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. The event is produced by the Trinity River Vision Authority.
