Greetings

Dallas has few diversions other than eating, drinking and shopping.....and shopping does not interest us.
So we spend our time hopping from restaurant to restaurant and to every pub that we can find in search of the perfect meal and the perfect beer.

We randomly review restaurants and bars, dishes and beers at whim and give our brutally honest opinions of our findings. And while we concentrate on Dallas, we travel far and wide to sample cuisine from all regions of the country and beyond.

Pumpkin Beers

So have you ever tried pumpkin beer?  Sounds gross, right?

Not so fast Jack (O'Lantern).

If you are big fan of malty beers you will be a fan of pumpkin beers.  Kind of like an Oktoberfest beer, but bigger.

Here are the top ten rated pumpkin beers from Rate Beer.  We recommend that you pick one of these up and not one of the mass market versions (i.e. don't get the Blue Moon Pumpkin, capsce?).

  1. I love a good pumpkin beer. Where are some great bars around here to try some around this time of year. And, what is the best store to buy these beers from?

  2. The best that I have found in Dallas is Total Wine on Central. Timing is difficult in that each brewer releases their seasonals as the whim grabs them. I have had some success at the Flying Saucer in Addison, but a simple call to your favorite watering hole may save you a trip.
