Greetings

Dallas has few diversions other than eating, drinking and shopping.....and shopping does not interest us.
So we spend our time hopping from restaurant to restaurant and to every pub that we can find in search of the perfect meal and the perfect beer.

We randomly review restaurants and bars, dishes and beers at whim and give our brutally honest opinions of our findings. And while we concentrate on Dallas, we travel far and wide to sample cuisine from all regions of the country and beyond.

International Stout Day 2017

HEY! It's November 2nd which means that today is International Stout Day!
http://www.stoutday.com/

Yummy, yummy, yum. There are some fine, fine stouts being produced locally for sure, I mean, who hasn't tried The Temptress (9.1% ABV) from Lakewood (http://lakewoodbrewing.com/)? Solid performer for those guys for sure.

Maybe your tastes are aching for something a bit more potent? Perhaps the Barrel Aged Legion (11.6% ABV) from those fine brewers at Community Beer Company (http://www.communitybeer.com/)? Whooeee, that will make going to work tomorrow a bit difficult.

We are going to go a bit farther afield for our fix. We have gotten our hands on the Mole Stout (5.8% ABV) from Ska Brewing (http://skabrewing.com/) brewed with cocoa nibs, spices and three varieties of chile peppers: Ancho, Guajillo and Hatch green chiles (also known as Anaheim peppers). Mmmmmmmm.
Rumor has it that they will soon be releasing a coffee cream stout that is divine.

Cheers, Bon
